A few things I’m building alongside study and work.

Ribat — Geopolitical Risk Exposure Map (2026)

An interactive map I built to show how much geopolitical risk each country actually bears through its trade, rather than where the risk is emitted. It combines the Caldara–Iacoviello GPR index with WITS/Comtrade trade weights across four channels (all trade, energy, critical materials, and shipping chokepoints), so you can see who is most exposed and toggle between channels to understand why.

The Visible Hand: Funding Regimes and Retained Control in Multi-Level Integration Governance — Antwerp and Rotterdam Compared (2026)

Research paper (my MSc thesis at the University of Amsterdam). It compares how Antwerp and Rotterdam fund local integration policy and asks which level of government ends up holding control.

Socially Just Climate Adaptation in Venserpolder — City of Amsterdam (2022)

Applied research and design commission from the City of Amsterdam’s Climate Adaptation Programme, delivered through the UvA Urban Lab. The client asked what a socially just climate adaptation plan looks like in Venserpolder, a priority development neighbourhood in Zuidoost where heat stress and waterlogging overlap with poverty and weak social cohesion. Our team ran a full design-thinking cycle with residents and the district’s Green & Blue programme, designed a blue-green corridor for the two most stressed streets, and tested it on the ground. The finding that mattered: the binding constraint is procedural justice, who is in the room when adaptation money is allocated.

ITA–MENA Business Council

I designed the governance and operational framework for a cross-regional initiative connecting Italian and MENA-based young professionals and institutions, to enable structured economic cooperation across trade, investment, and policy. I’m currently growing the network and expanding the collaboration infrastructure so that knowledge and opportunity can move more easily across borders.

Global Affairs Unpacked: Egmont Institute

A project I helped launch at the EGMONT Royal Institute for International Relations: Global Affairs Unpacked, the institute’s podcast breaking down the forces shaping international relations (grand strategy, emerging technologies, and global power dynamics) across its Africa, Europe in the World, and European Affairs programmes.
